Warner U.K. label Parlophone is having a rather exciting week with a #1 position on both the U.K.'s Official Albums and Singles Chart thanks to Stereophonics and Tones and I, whilst also ruling radio with Coldplay.
The purple patch is a big win for the label, which is in the process of being revived under the new co-Presidency of Nick Burgess and Mark Mitchell.
With Kind, Stereophonics have their seventh Official Albums #1, while Tones and I gives Parlophone a fifth week at the top of singles with "Dance Monkey." The Warner label has more success today with "Dance Monkey" also ruling the Spotify, Apple Music, Shazam and iTunes charts.
In addition, Coldplay have topped the airplay chart with "Orphans," which has entered the singles chart at #27, and their upcoming album, Everyday Life, has shot to #1 on the U.K. Amazon album chart through pre-sales. Finally, London-based rapper Ashnikko is #3 on Spotify's Viral Chart with her TikTok hit "Stupid."
