Multiple reports have now confirmed social-media posts suggesting Rage Against the Machine will be reforming for 2020 shows, including a headlining spot at Coachella.
The band's Instagram post also teased shows in El Paso, Las Cruces and Phoenix in March.
The news follows reports that My Chemical Romance will power up to play its first shows since 2011. Rock-loving insiders believe the impact of next summer's Green Day/Weezer/Fall Out Boy tour has moved the center of gravity for loud guitar music, and that RATM's revival may well spark a further stampede of ticket buyers.
And considering what the erstwhile Machine has been up to, the decision to resume Raging against it is particularly timely. Will the famously woke band's 2020 onslaught have a voter-registration/mobilization component?
