On the heels of announcing the 10/25 opening of his Jesus is King IMAX film, Kanye West tweeted that the album of the same name will drop on the same date.
Def Jam has confirmed than the album, West's ninth, will drop the same day that the film opens. West will premiere the album and the film Wednesday at a special listening and screening at the Forum.
Scheduled to drop at the end of September, it follows the pattern of the unpredictable West delaying nearly every one of his releases in the last decade.
As for the film, following a month of private screenings, West dropped the trailer on his website, announcing a wide release in IMAX theaters. The clip teases a view from James Turrell's mysterious art installation, Roden Crater, while music from West's Sunday Service is heard in the background.
