LVRN/Interscope artist Summer Walker’s first album, Over It, has debuted at #2 U.S. and #7 on the U.K. chart. Over It did 134k U.S., making it the largest debut for an R&B female artist since Beyoncé’s Lemonade. Over It also scored the biggest streaming week ever for an album by a female R&B artist.
Earlier this week, the Atlanta-bred breakout unleashed a music video for the extended version of single “Playing Games,” featuring Bryson Tiller, which is approaching 3m views on YouTube. Check it out below.
Executive produced by London on da Track, the album features a who’s who of hip-hop and R&B guests, including Drake (“Girls Need Love” Remix), Jhene Aiko (“I’ll Kill You”), A Boogie wit da Hoodie (“Stretch You Out”), 6LACK (“Like It”) and PartyNextDoor (“Just Might”). R&B veteran Usher appears on “Come Thru,” which is currently #10 on the Apple Music Top 100 USA chart.
Walker is set to embark on The First and Last Tour, which will kick off 10/20 in London and then return stateside for 35 dates across North America, including stops in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto and Atlanta.
