GROSSMANN GETS IT

Over at Republic, Kristina Grossmann has been promoted to VP of A&R. The news comes from EVP Rob Stevenson.

Based in NYC, Grossmann had held the title Senior Director of A&R since 2016. The Northeastern grad joined the Land of Lipman as an intern back in 2008. Lucky for her, that was before intern duties included polishing the company 'copter.

Grossmann says, “Republic Records has given me the platform to inspire artists and bring new ideas, ventures, and opportunities to the table. The modern music industry landscape is so exciting. Throughout my past eleven years at the company, Republic has remained at the forefront of this landscape by encouraging the team to consistently think differently. I want to thank Rob and the entire A&R department for their endless support and encouragement.”

“Kristina employs a fresh and forward-thinking approach when it comes to A&R," shares Stevenson. "Her grasp of the evolving digital landscape combined with the gut and instinct of traditional A&R enables her to do what every great A&R should—deliver the soundtrack to tomorrow.”

We wonder why the guts at HITS never get complimented. Then we remember we should probably lay off the Cheez Whiz.
