GREAT SCOTT: TRAVIS' MASSIVE DEBUT

Travis Scott's latest track, "Highest in the Room" (Cactus Jack/Grand Hustle/Epic), earned the biggest debut of the year at Spotify (U.S.) on Friday with nearly 4m streams. The new single topped some of 2019's heaviest bows, including Ariana Grande's "7 rings" (3.8m), J. Cole's "Middle Child" (3.7m) and Taylor Swift's "ME!" (3.5m).

Along with its dominance at Spotify, Scott's new smash has locked into the top of Apple Music, where it also debuted at #1 on Friday.

Powered by massive stream counts, "Highest in the Room" is on pace for a gigantic debut week, possibly reaching 45-50m streams; add in strong single sales, and the consumption number for the track's debut week could surpass 400k—trailing only Grande's "7 rings" (which amassed 510k, still the year's top debut-week performance).

The track arrives following a resurgence of 2018's Astroworld—which re-entered the top 10 in September after Netflix dropped its Scott documentary, Look Mom I Can Fly.

Look for the new single to dethrone Lizzo on the Hot 100 next week.
