Brantley Gilbert’s fifth album, Fire & Brimstone (BMLG), leads a collection of nine new titles in the iTunes albums Top 10 this flipover Friday while LVRN/Interscope’s Summer Walker is the top newcomer at Apple Music. The latest Bieber track is, of course, #1.
Right behind Gilbert is The Avett Brothers’ first album in more than three years, Closer Than Together (Republic), at #2. Dermot Kennedy’s decade-in-the-making debut, Without Fear (Riggins/Island), docks at #3 followed by Zach Williams’ Rescue Story (Provident/Sony) at #4.
Wilco returns from their short hiatus with their 10th album Ode to Joy (dBpm) at #5. The K-pop supergroup SuperM hits #6 with The 1st Mini Album.
Walker’s Over It (LVRN/Interscope) falls in at #7 but it’s at Apple Music where she’s really making her mark. The album is #1 and two songs are in the Top 20: “Playing Games” and “Stretch You Out” f/A Boogie wit da Hoodie. Summer's labelmate DaBaby has the #2 album.
Issues Beautiful Oblivion (Rise) opens at #9 and the 17th studio album from Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Ghosteen (Ghosteen), is #10.
Dan + Shay & Justin Bieber’s “10,000 Hours” (Warner Nashville/Def Jam) tops the iTunes songs chart where two other rookies enter the Top 10, Niall Horan’s “Nice to Meet Ya” (Neon Haze/Capitol) is #4 and Travis Scott’s “Highest in the Room” (Epic) at #5. The Scott song is #4 at Apple Music.
