U.K. MIDWEEKS: LIAM TAKES THE LEAD

Liam Gallagher is on course to claim his second #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart with Why Me? Why Not. (Warner Records) leading an all-new Top 3 at the halfway stage. Over on singles, Kosovo DJ Regard is challenging Ed Sheeran for the top spot.

Gallagher is currently outperforming the rest of the Top 5 combined. Keane are also new at #2 today with Cause and Effect (Island), followed by Blink-182’s Nine (Sony) at #3.

Following his Mercury win, Dave continues to climb back up the charts with Psychodrama (Neighbourhood) rising 28 places to #9.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, Sheeran and Stormzy’s “Take Me Back to London” (Atlantic) is heading for a fifth week on top. Regard’s “Ride It” (Ministry of Sound) is close behind at #2, rising nine places since Friday.

Tones & I's “Dance Monkey” (Parlophone) looks set to enter the Top 10 for the first time as it starts the week at #8. Stormzy could have a second appearance in the Top 20 this week with “Wiley Flow” (Merky/Atlantic) rising up to #16, while Dave’s “Professor X” is also on course to enter the Top 20; it’s currently #18.
