Jon Platt has brought Rihanna into the Sony/ATV Music Publishing fold, reuniting the two who worked together at Warner Chappell.
Her worldwide deal with Sony/ATV covers her songwriting catalog plus future works, spurring speculation that her follow-up to 2016’s Anti is imminent.
The agreement covers all songs written by the multi-Grammy winner across her entire career, including the hits “Rude Boy,” “Love On The Brain,” “Needed Me” and the Drake collaboration “Work.”
“I’m proud to have known Rihanna since the beginning of her career,” Sony/ATV Chairman & CEO Platt said in a statement. “Music, fashion, philanthropy and a heart of gold have solidified Rihanna’s position as one of the biggest icons in the world. It is an honor to be reunited with her at Sony/ATV.”
