NEW TAYLOR TRACK DROPS ON FRIDAY

Taylor Swift closed out her Teen Choice Icon Award acceptance speech by saying her next song will drop on Friday.

The title track from Lover (Republic) will be the fourth track from the album released ahead of its street date of 8/23.

On release day, Swift will perform stripped-down versions of Lover’s songs during a SiriusXM Town Hall Q&A session. The performance/Q&A will first air at 5pm ET on 8/23 on SiriusXM Hits 1 (channel 2) and be rebroadcast throughout the weekend on SiriusXM Hits 1.

SiriusXM Hits 1’s The Morning Mash UpRyan Sampson, Nicole Ryan and Stanley T—will do the interview to discuss her new album, and Taylor will take over SiriusXM’s Hits1 for the 8/24-25 weekend, counting down the top 45 songs in North America as well as the week’s new music.

It will be the third consecutive time Swift has visited with SiriusXM on release day.

While she was onstage at the Teen Choice Awards, Swift offered advice to teens and support for the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team in their fight for equal pay. "Let people know how you feel about it because what happened to them is unfair,” she said. “It's happening everywhere and they are heroes and icons for standing up."

Swift then loaded her surfboard into her Woodie Wagon and drove to County Line, where Moondoggie showed her how to hang 10 while her Saturday night party crowd was just waking up.
