ROC PARTNERS WITH MEEK MILL

Jay-Z’s Roc Nation is partnering with Meek Mill on a record label, Dream Chasers, where Mill, as President of ther label, will be signing up-and-coming artists.

In overseeing the label, he is charged with building an A&R staff, and hiring people to handle label operations, creative strategy, marketing and legal. Based corporately in New York, Mill is also opening a recording studio for the label’s artists.

“Creating a record label has always been the next step in my journey as a businessman and I appreciate Roc Nation and Jay-Z’s support on this new venture,” said Mill, who is managed by Roc Nation. “I want to take my experiences in the music industry, use them to find young, hungry talent and open doors for the next generation of artists.”

Mill recently took an ownership stake in sports apparel retailer Lids and has joined the ownership groups of Ethika Underwear and Milano di Rouge.
