Def Jam and PUMA are giving a first look at their debut collection in celebration of Def Jam's 35th anniversary. Iconic brands in their own right with a shared DNA across streetwear, lifestyle and music, the debut release from their year-lonog partnership features the Def Jam x PUMA Clyde Court.
Designed with a sock-like collar for support and flexibility and dynamic lacing and fit system, PUMA’s timeless basketball silhouette in the Clyde Court features the Def Jam logo on the heel with 1984 embroidered on the heel loop, a nod to the label’s founding. With the performance technology of an on-court shoe, the Clyde Court brings basketball culture to the streets. The first of more styles to come throughout 2019 and into 2020.
“Since hip-hop’s early b-boy days, PUMA has been a staple in the culture - bringing freshness to the basketball court and style to the block party. We’re proud to celebrate Def Jam’s 35th anniversary in partnership with PUMA,” said Paul Rosenberg, Chairman & CEO, Def Jam Recordings.
The Def Jam x PUMA Clyde Court will be pre-launching in limited quantities exclusively at ComplexCon in Chicago this Sunday, 7/21 and then available in-stores and online at PUMA.com starting 8/28.
Def Jam GM/EVP Rich Isaacson is notably pumped for some new kicks, as he continues to work on his jumper throughout the summer.
