BLINDED BY BRUCE

The previously unreleased studio recording of "I'll Stand By You," and live versions of “The River” and “The Promised Land” are among the dozen Bruce Springsteen songs on Blinded By The Light: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack that Columbia Records/Legacy will release on 8/9.

A double-LP version will be available 8/30. The film will be released 8/14.

Springsteen’s music is the guiding force in Gurinder Chadha’s film inspired by Sarfraz Manzoor's memoir Greetings from Bury Park: Race, Religion and Rock N' Roll set in Luton, England in 1987.

"The River" performance comes from Springsteen’s appearance at the No Nukes concert at Madison Square Garden on 9/21/79 and the solo acoustic version of "The Promised Land" was recorded at Concert for Valor—The National Mall, Washington, D.C., on 11/11/14. Springsteen gave Chadha "I'll Stand By You" for the film’s end credits.

The collection also includes parts of A.R. Rahman’s score, period hits and dialogue.
