THE "RESCUE SYD STRAW" CAMPAIGN (UPDATE)

The fine folks at Wild Honey are pleased to report (as are we) that the GoFundMe campaign aiding singer/songwriter Syd Straw surpassed its goal in less than two days, thanks to many supporters around the world, including readers of this site. Syd is grateful. We are too.

The fine folks at Wild Honey, who have been incredible fund-raisers and advocates for all kinds of worthy causes, now seek your help in aiding one of their own: singer/songwriter Syd Straw. Straw's home in Vermont has been devastated by a flood and she's been camped out on the porch in a tent.

She's without a vehicle and has been scraping by in the interim, but she needs to raise $25k to make basic repairs to her home before the short Vermont summer gives way to serious cold.

We therefore invite you to contribute to the "Rescue Syd Straw" GoFundMe campaign.

There are premiums: $25 or more gets you a chance at VIP tix for a Wild Honey Show; $50 or more a chance to attend a dress rehearsal; a c-note gets you a 15-minute Skype session with Syd singing three songs, with more songs allotted with bigger donations; a grand buys a Syd house concert.
