Republic star Taylor Swift (following an Instagram announcement) has dropped a new single, “You Need to Calm Down and lyric video . An 18-track album, titled Lover, is coming 8/23.
The lyric video with a decidedly Pride-friendly theme; the colorful clip is already occasioning much conversation. You can check it out below.
On this album, we're told fans can expect a romantic theme, but Tay Tay stresses that these aren't your typical love songs.
Four deluxe versions will be available exclusively at Target, with unique content being created for each package. A collaborative project with designer Stella McCartney—a Target VIP herself—is also in the works. That's all we know about that for now, but more details are said to be on their way. Meanwhile, current single "ME!" f/Brendon Urie continues to move through the Pop radio Top 10.
Predecessor reputation, which dropped in November of 2017, debuted at #1 on the Top 50 Chart, moving more than 1.2m in its first week out—the vast majority of that number coming from pure sales. In fact, she sold the most albums that year, crossing the finish line with 1.9m. The set's total is now above 3.5m.
