LAMADRID PROVES MASSEY APPEAL

Last night at Gold Diggers in Hollywood, Arista hosted a showcase for their latest signing, young prodigy Julian Lamadrid. Born in Dubai to a family of Mexican expats, Lamadrid's dynamic, sensual pop captivated a room full of industry weasels who'd been wondering what the buzz was all about.

Lamadrid performed an array of tracks from his forthcoming project, which ranged from intimate guitar ballads to alt-R&B bangers. Inked to David Massey's Sony-distribbed label and Clio Massey's Work of Art pubco, the NYU alum (pictured at right with both Masseys) showcased a soothing voice and movie-star looks; he would appear to be on a heart-throb trajectory.

Later, the artist and the two execs enjoyed a salubrious constitutional around the venue's Hollywood environs, during which time a guy dressed as Chewbacca tried to sell them some incense.
