THE VOICE DRIVES SALES AT iTUNES

Maelyn Jarmon won The Voice Tuesday and now has three songs high on the iTunes singles chart—“Hallelujah” at #2, “Wait for You” at #7 and her duet with coach John Legend on “Unforgettable” at #11.

Two performances on the NBC show’s finale pushed songs into the Top 10: Taylor Swift and Brendon Urie’s “ME!” is up to #10 and OneRepublic’s “Rescue Me” has shot to #8.

A week ago, Blake Shelton performed his March release “God’s Country” on the show and it has held steady in the Top 10. He received a lot of airtime recently as three of his singers were among the top four finalists; his single sits at #6.

Finalist Gyth Rigdon also has a tune in the Top 10, “Proof I’ve Always Loved You.”

A performance by Hootie and the Blowfish on the finale has pushed The Best of Hootie & the Blowfish (1993-2003) to #5 on the iTunes albums chart. Republic’s six-song collection of Jarmon performances is #13 on the albums chart.
