U.K. CHARTS: ED & JUSTIN’S SPEEDY RISE

Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber have the second fastest selling single in the U.K. so far this year with “I Don’t Care” (Atlantic) topping the Official Singles Chart with nearly 124k combined sales. Over on albums, P!nk secures a third week at #1.

“I Don’t Care” racked up 13m streams and 22k downloads this week, which fell just short of claiming the year’s fastest-selling single—a title that’s currently held by Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings,” which opened on 126k in January. The collaboration extends Sheeran’s #1 tally to six, while Bieber’s hits seven.

The rest of the Top 5 is as follows: “Old Town Road” (Columbia) by Lil Nas X stays at #2, “Stormzy’s Vossi Bop” (Merky/Atlantic) moves down to #3, “Someone You Loved” (Virgin EMI) by Lewis Capaldi moves down to #4, and Meduza f/Goodboys’ “Piece of Your Heart” (Polydor) moves up one to #5.

Production duo Europa (Jax Jones and Martin Solveig) edge closer to the Top 10 with “All Day and Night” f/Madison Beer (Polydor) lifting two spots to #11. Skepta lands his 11th Top 40 entry with “Greaze Mode” (BBK) f/Nafe Smallz at #22.

On the Official Albums Chart, P!nk stays on top with Hurts 2B Human (RCA) claiming the most physical and download sales over the last seven days. Billie Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (Polydor) is the week’s most-streamed album, climbing back to #2.

The highest new entry this week is Whitesnake’s Flesh & Blood (Frontiers) at #7, followed by Logic at #12 with Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (Virgin EMI).

Following the release of his new single, Sheeran’s Divide (Atlantic) climbs six to #8. Adele has 25 and 21 (XL) back in the Top 40, at #13 and #26 respectively, following the airing of a documentary, Adele: In Her Own Words, at the end of last week on Channel 5.
