FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

Tyler, The Creator and DJ Khaled are providing a sunny flipover Friday for their Sony Music labels as the two find themselves at or near the top of multiple iTunes and Apple Music charts.

Tyler, The Creator’s IGOR (Columbia) is #1 at Apple Music and #3 at iTunes with eight tracks in the Top 20 on the streaming side, led by “EARFQUAKE” at #3.

DJ Khaled’s Father of Asahd (We The Best/Epic) sits at #1 at iTunes and #2 among streaming albums. The title track, featuring Nipsey Hussle & John Legend, is #5 at iTunes songs.

Flipover Friday again reveals the power of streaming in hip-hop vs. the spending habits of rock fans.

Rammstein, now in their 25th year, is #2 at iTunes with their self-titled Rammstein/Caroline release, the German metal act’s seventh full-length. The National’s eighth album, I am Easy to Find (4AD), is #4.

Other newcomers in the iTunes Top 10 are Carly Rae Jepsen’s Dedicated (Schoolboy/Interscope) at #5, The Head and the Heart’s Living Mirage (Warner Bros.) pumping up to #6, Lewis Capaldi’s much anticipated debut Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent (Capitol) opening at #7, and Maluma’s 11:11 (Sony Latin) clocking in at #9.

Megan Thee Stallion is the only other artist with an album on both charts: Her Fever (1501 Certified Ent.) is #3 at Apple Music and #8 at iTunes.

On the songs side, Halsey’s new single “Nightmare” (Capitol) wakes up at #3 at iTunes and Slipknot’s instant grat track “Unsainted” (Roadrunner) is #7. BMLG’s Lady Antebellum is heading toward the Top 10 with “What If I Never Get Over You” as is Lana Del Rey’s “Doin’ Time” (Interscope).
