Lots of green exchanged hands during the week ending 5/9, as documented in our updated Song Revenue Chart. Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” (Columbia) continued its astonishing run, ringing up another $385k, while Logic & Eminem’s “Homicide” (Def Jam) broke $200k to enter the chart at #2, one slot above Shawn Mendes’ debuting “If I Can’t Have You” (Island).
Republic’s Taylor Swift nipped Darkroom/Interscope’s Billie Eilish by less than $2k to finish at #4 during a week when the entire Top 10 hit six figures. The top gainer was Interscope’s DaBaby at +16%, who finished just off the big board at #11, so he’s one to watch.
As for marketshare, UMG snagged 57% of the Top 50, while WMG (22%) and Sony Music (21%) continued their nip-and-tuck competition for #2.
