IT'S OFFICIAL: DUGAN TO START AS ACADEMY BOSS ON 8/1

The Recording Academy Board of Trustees has made it official, tapping Deborah Dugan as the incoming President/CEO with a start date of 8/1.

She declared herself "honored, humbled and ready," adding, "The goal of the Recording Academy is to support, encourage, and advocate for those within the music community. I will listen to and champion all of those individuals, and lead this iconic organization into the future. I'm excited to get started." You can find details about Dugan's impressive career trajectory in the links below.

Board Chairman John Poppo made the announcement, declaring her "a highly accomplished business executive and a visionary leader."

Poppo then lifted the head of a statue, causing a bookcase to slide aside and open a passageway to the secret chamber where the Secret Committee gathers. He then vanished in a cloud of mist.
