Alternative stalwarts Blink-182, fresh from announcing a splashy tour with Lil Wayne, have returned with a new single via Columbia. "Blame It on My Youth," the lyric video for which appears below, represents the first new music from the first rock signing of the Ron Perry regime.
The tune mines nostalgia in its bittersweet lyrics and a melody very much in step with the band's biggest hits. It was produced by Tim Pagnotta, who co-penned it with the band and Sam Hollander (Panic! At the Disco).
Blink, who formed in 1992, continue to make a noise in the marketplace; they unseated Drake for the #1 spot on our chart with their last album, California, in July of 2016.
Buzz on "Blame," which went live via all the usual providers on 5/8 and is impacting Alternative radio immediately, is strong. Check out the lyric vid by graffiti artist RISK below. Mark, Travis and Matt kick off their new trek in Columbus, OH, on 6/27. Could an album drop around that time?
