MULTIPLE MADONNAS FOR "MEDELLÍN"

While it’s beyond question that there’s only one Madonna, during her performance of new single “Medellín” with Latin superstar Maluma on the Billboard Music Awards, there were five or so (to be honest, we lost track).

This is owing to the innovative and seamless use of hologram technology in the segment, which also featured some eye-popping, ever-shifting backdrops. Multiple Madges materialized on the Vegas stage during the song—the lead single from her forthcoming full-length via Live Nation/Interscope/Maverick, Madam X.

These shimmying simulacra evaporated into rose petals and otherwise went poof during the song, an experience that's not unlike what happened that time when we ate too many infused gummi bears. Check it out for yourself.
