IT'S A NEW DECADE

There’s a new management company in the U.K.: Decade Management, helmed by respected duo Amanda Playle (l) and Jho Oakley, with a roster that includes Pendulum, Knife Party and newcomer Cameron Hayes. In related news, TaP Music has expanded its team with senior day-to-day artist manager Aimee Jessiman.

Playle and Oakley previously worked together on Jho Management but were forced to close the company in 2015 when Oakley was struck down with a chronic illness. Alongside Pendulum and Knife Party, their acts included Chase & Status, Sub Focus, Zane Lowe and Netsky. Since then, Playle has worked as GM at Closer Artists with acts George Ezra and James Bay—a role Amelia Scivier now holds.

The duo have a combined 25 years of experience in the music industry and aim to provide best in class career management and artist support, with a founding vision of hits, health and happiness.

"It’s been a decade since Jho and I first started working together and I am delighted to be working with him again Playle, who is CEO of Decade. It’s also been 10 years since I first worked with Pendulum, so the name Decade Management seemed appropriate.

“Pendulum and Knife Party are without a doubt two of the biggest names in electronic music, and we are excited to help them navigate this next stage of their long and successful careers. Cameron Hayes is a brand-new but extremely talented young artist, that we have high hopes for.”

Added Chairman Oakley, “Amanda had a huge part to play in the success of Jho Management, and after seeing her help not one but two different management companies win the coveted MMF Manager of the Year award, it was high time that she launched her own vessel, and I am delighted to be onboard. I will do everything I can to see Decade Management become a huge success.”

In other management news, Aimee Jessiman has joined the TaP team from Modest Management, where she worked for many years representing Katherine Jenkins OBE, Astrid S, Diana Vickers and more. In her new role, she’ll be working across day-to-day artist activity, reporting into founders Ben Mawson and Ed Millet.
