In tandem with the premiere of the Netflix documentary chronicling her landmark 2018 Coachella performance, Beyoncé released HOMECOMING: THE LIVE ALBUM (Parkwood/Columbia) at midnight ET of 4/17. It has gone straight to #1 at iTunes. Check out the music and the trailer below.
The album, clocking in at just under two hours with 40 tracks, is the full audio from her Coachella set—featuring the HBCU-style marching band she had on stage and the Destiny's Child reunion, as well as a bonus track, a cover of Maze f/Frankie Beverly's "Before I Let Go."
The album is the first release for Queen Bey since The Carters' Everything Is Love, the Grammy-winning joint project with husband Jay-Z, which was also a surprise drop. The set's release has reignited sales of her visual album Lemonade, which has moved back into the Top 10 at iTunes; a clean version of Homecoming is also on the leaderboard. Both versions of the new live set are priced at $19.99. Homecoming is also Top 5 at Amazon's download store.
