Megastar Madonna has dropped "Medellín," her new single with global star Maluma. It's the first taste of her forthcoming Live Nation/Maverick/Interscope set Madam X, due 6/14 and in pre-order now. Guy Oseary's cartel has pulled all the levers.
Madonna will next unveil her video for "Medellín" (which was Zane Lowe's 4/17 World Record on Apple's Beats 1) on MTV at 1pm PT/4pm ET on 4/24. Madonna will join British DJ Trevor Nelson and fans in London for a conversation about her new album; Maluma will join live from Miami. Madonna will also take questions during the global event via satellite from fans in New York City.
Influenced creatively by living in Lisbon, Portugal, over the past several years, Madame X is a collection of 15 songs that celebrate Madonna's career-long affair with Latin music and culture as well as other global influences. She sings in Portuguese, Spanish and English. Other guests include Quavo, Swae Lee and Anitta. Maluma returns for another track, the evocatively titled "Bitch I'm Loca."
"Lisbon is where my record was born," Madonna says. "I found my tribe there and a magical world of incredible musicians that reinforced my belief that music across the world is truly all connected and is the soul of the universe."
