The Recording Academy has finalized many of the details for its 2019 Special Merit Awards concert Grammy Salute to Music Legends at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on 5/11.
Bootsy Collins and Snoop Dogg will salute honoree George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic; Lalah Hathaway and Kenya Hathaway will pay tribute to their father Donny; Johnny Mathis will honor Dionne Warwick; and Gregory Porter will pay tribute to Billy Eckstine. Honorees Sam Moore, Clinton and Warwick will perform as well.
No word yet on who will pay tribute to honoree Black Sabbath, Julio Iglesias, Lou Adler, and Nickolas Ashford & Valerie Simpson. Cheech & Chong are among the presenters.
Tickets for the event go on sale today at 10am PT.
Grammy Salute to Music Legends will air as part of the Great Performances series on PBS later this year.
