INDIO TURNS INDIGO

Desert accommodations for Coachella and Stagecoach are about to get a lot more luxe. A new Indigo resort will open its doors in Q4—with a plum location just five minutes from the Empire Polo Field where the festivals take place.

Co-developed by veteran biz attorney Gary Stiffelman (who’ll be around to provide tours during Coachella), the sprawling, Highgate-managed playground at the corner of Van Buren Street and 48th Avenue will consist of 52 villas with between two and six bedrooms; private, firepit-equipped patios; state-of-the-art tech; and bathrooms you’d probably want to live in permanently.

The facility will accommodate some 40k merrymakers in its 11-acre event space and will feature a massive salt-water pool, all manner of dining and drinking establishments, a spa setup to die for, gorgeously appointed meeting spaces and, of course, a helicopter landing site. We’d tell you more about it, but we have to finish duct-taping the bathroom sink back together. Long story.

Anyhoo, check the pretty renderings below and then prepare to remind Gary that you consider him the kindest, warmest, most generous human being you’ve ever known.
