DEF-INITELY COOLER THAN US

The women of Def Jam celebrated Women's History Month this past week with breakfast and hangs at the label's NYC headquarters, where UMG EVP Michele Anthony joined in the festivities. The same event was mirrored by a smaller group at their Santa Monica offices. These gatherings also marked the culmination of a month-long campaign engaging platforms like Instagram, Spotify and BET; see the final IG post here and the Spotify playlist here.

Repping L.A. are (L-R) VP Publicity Courtni Asbury, VP A&R Administration Liza Corsey, A&R Coordinator Brittany Mansfield and EVP Promotion Nicki Farag, who collectively kicked HITS President Todd Hensley's tuchus to the curb when he inadvertently crashed the shindig for a minute by following the scent of bacon across town.

“For thirty-five years and counting, the women of Def Jam—both executives and artists alike—have blazed a trail through their creativity, leadership and mentorship," shared Chairman and CEO Paul Rosenberg. "As we celebrate Women’s History Month, Def Jam is proud to recognize and salute the incredible women who have contributed to the label’s past and present-day success.”
