The #MicrowaveChallenge hit the Ryan and Kelly show this morning, as Ryan Seacrest and Lisa Rinna joined in the viral phenomenon that’s sprung up around “Slow Dancing in the Dark” by 88Rising/12 Tone Music artist Joji. The challenge, which involves spinning on the floor like a microwave plate to the melancholy (but unquestionably catchy) tune, went viral on Tik Tok and has since colonized most of the Internet; sample the madness here. “Slow Dancing” has racked up around 575m video views, 1.3m creations, 80m likes, 325k shares and at least 11 requests for Steve Bartels to spin for three minutes on high while holding a jacket potato, six meatballs and a packet of mac and cheese.
