An official Elton John autobiography, co-written by Guardian music critic Alexis Petridis and published by Macmillan, will arrive in October. The book will cover the British star's colorful life and career, spanning seven decades.
Announcing the project to his fans, John said, “I can’t wait for you to read it because it’s the truth, and so many books written about me haven’t exactly been truthful.
“My life has been one helluva roller-coaster ride, and I’m now ready to tell you my story, in my own words.”
An Elton biography was published in 2007, based on first-hand interviews with his associates and collaborators; it wasn't endorsed by the man himself, however.
My life has been one helluva roller coaster ride and I’m now ready to tell you my story, in my own words. My first and only official autobiography will be released October 2019.
