ATLANTIC U.K. STEPS INTO
THE 21ST CENTURY

The team (l-r): Nick Long, Claire Coster, Dan Curwin, Luke Tipping, Annabelle Scott-Curry, Katie White

Atlantic Records U.K. President Ben Cook has restructured his leadership team to better serve today's "attention economy" with the arrival of a creative team that focuses on conceptual, visual and video creative to be headed up by Luke Tipping, formerly of ad agency Anomaly, and Annabelle Scott-Curry and Dan Curwin, who have been promoted internally. There are also new job titles for Nick Long and Claire Coster.

Alongside GM Katie White (former i-D MD and Vice exec), Cook has reworked his team after establishing six key disciplines vital to artists in today’s market—A&R, promotion, marketing, publicity, creative and audience – in order to ensure each has the power to create defining, seismic moments that can propel an artist globally.

Explaining the restructure, Cook said: “Today’s attention economy sees us and our artists compete for share of audience with not only other acts and labels, but also with content in all its forms. Our new structure, with the addition of extra creative verticals, allows us to produce both purposeful and compelling content that’s worthy of our talented roster, and helps push the boundaries of our artists’ storytelling.

“We constantly appraise our value offering to artists and partners, and I have worked together with Katie and the senior team to form a dynamic, bold leadership structure at the label. We want to create a truly progressive 21st century record company with an invaluable proposition.”

Tipping is Creative Director, Conceptual, having previously held several senior creative roles at leading London agencies where he oversaw global campaigns for Beats by Dre and Nike. Scott-Curry and Curwin have been promoted to Creative Director, Visual and Director of Video, respectively.

Long has been elevated to the new position of Director of Audience, where he will focus on fostering and growing artists’ audiences across all social and digital platforms. The new positions will sit next to the award-winning A&R, promotions, marketing and publicity teams led by Alec Boateng & Briony Turner, Ed Howard, Damian Christian, Callum Caulfield and Caroline Dollimore.

In addition, Coster has been promoted from Senior Publicity Manager to Head of Publicity following recent success working across campaigns for Ed Sheeran and Anne-Marie. She continues to report to Dollimore, Director of Publicity.

Cook continued: “It’s fantastic to recognize such a breadth of skill and expertise within our team with these promotions, and to bring in such an important hire in Luke. This new structure empowers all our experts, and ensures we are industry leading in all disciplines.

"No other offering delivers such a complete approach to artist development. I’m excited to see how these improvements will enhance our work with our artists and partners, and allow us to continue at the top of our game, with a team built for the future.”
