FLIPOVER FRIDAY: NEW ARRIVALS AT iTUNES AND APPLE MUSIC

It’s a fine flipover Friday for guys with guitars as the 14th studio album from Dream Theater and Gary Clark Jr. rule iTunes on one chart and John Mayer is climbing on the songs side.

Dream Theater, the prog-metal band out of Boston, sits atop the iTunes albums chart with Distance Over Time (InsideOut), their first album in three years.

This Land (Warner Bros.), the third album from the Austin guitar wizard Gary Clark Jr. is #3. The first solo set from MigosOffset, Father of 4 (Quality Control/Motown/Capitol) sits in the #4 berth while Kehlani’s While We Wait (TSNMI/Atlantic) is #5.

Badflower’s debut, OK, I’m Sick (Big Machine/John Varvatos) shoots up to #7.

Gunna’s Drip or Drown 2 (Young Stoner Life) is #9 at iTunes and the week’s top debut at Apple Music, sitting at #2. Lil Pump’s Harverd Dropout (Warner Bros.) is #8 at Apple Music and just outside the Top 10 at iTunes.

On the songs’ side, P!nk’s Wednesday release, “Walk Me Home” (RCA), strides in at #1 and Mayer’s new one, “I Guess I Feel Like” (Columbia), is #4.
