Big Machine/John Varvatos Records’ kicked off the Mediabase rock radio convention #Happens in Las Vegas last night (2/20), with a showcase featuring their rising acts in the Rock and Alternative space.
Industry weasels gathered around their snazzy Big Machine Vodka drinks at Backstage Bar & Billiard in Old Las Vegas to watch high-powered sets by chart-topping band Badflower, U.K. up-and-comers Pretty Vicious and Chicago natives Friday Pilots Club.
Big Machine Label Group President/CEO Scott Borchetta and John Varvatos welcomed the packed crowd and thanked Rock radio for their continued support.
One notable performance was chart-topping band Badflower headlining the evening just two days before the release of their debut album OK, I’M SICK, out 2/22. Their set kicked off with current single “Heroin”— which is Top 15-and-climbing at Rock radio— before launching into “Promise Me,” “The Jester” and additional Badflower favorites.
