CHART STORY: ARIANA ARRIVES, EPIC GAINS

Ariana Grande's highly anticipated thank u, next has finally arrived courtesy of Republic, while Epic has three albums in the top five on the HITS Top 50 Chart.

Future's The Wizrd (Freebandz/Epic) held at #2 with 40k, as label-mates 21 Savage and Travis Scott earned big gains cracking the top five. Earning a Super Bowl boost, Scott's Astroworld (Grand Hustle/Cactus Jack/Epic) moved from 10 to five and a week campaigning for 21 Savage's freedom led fans to revisit i am>i was (Slaughter Gang/Epic) bumping him up to #4.

Continuing the awards season love-fest, Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper's A Star is Born soundtrack (Interscope) inches up to #3.

Maroon 5's Red Pill Blues (222/Interscope) re-enters the chart at #40 following their halftime performance. The Grateful Dead's Dave's Picks Vol. 29 (Grateful Dead/Rhino) is the highest debut at #26, moving 18k units in pure album sales. Bernie Cahill wonders if you'd like to hit this blunt.
