SET YOUR VCRS: AMERICANA AWARDS ON PBS' ACL

PBSAustin City Limits will air the 17th annual Americana Honors & Awards on Saturday, a bit of a lead up to another music awards show taking place on Sunday.

Grammy nominees Brandi Carlile, John Prine, k.d. lang and Margo Price are among the acts featured in the awards show filmed at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium in September. Besides airing on PBS, the show will stream beginning Sunday at pbs.org/austincitylimits.

The show includes Carlile performing "The Joke," Price singing "A Little Pain," and Jason Isbell with his band The 400 Unit doing “White Man’s World.” Prine is honored with Artist of the Year for the second consecutive year, and plays “Summer’s End” from The Tree of Forgiveness.

Carlile, Irma Thomas, Courtney Marie Andrews, The War and Treaty and Ann McCrary perform a tribute to Aretha Franklin.

The show was co-produced by Two Talented Cats Entertainment’s Martin Fischer and Edie Hoback, Michelle Aquilato and ACL Executive Producer Terry Lickona.
