PAINTING THE
TOWN P!NK

Peter Edge and Team RCA join superstar P!nk as she receives her star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame (around the time she announced a new single, "Walk Me Home" due 2/22, with an album slated for April). Co-President John Fleckenstein suggested they keep their voices down so those idiots at HITS didn't find out they were nearby. Seen just before going to watch Co-Prexy Joe Riccitelli do his trapeze act are (back, l-r) manager Roger Davies, RCA President of Urban Music/ByStorm CEO Mark Pitts, Fleck, Edge, President of A&R Keith Naftaly, EVP West Coast/Publicity Mika El-Baz, SVP Promo Wendy Goodman, VP Promo Danny Cooper and VP Licensing/Soundtracks Julia Betley, and (front, l-r) Director PR Meghan Kehoe, SVP Pop/Rock Marketing Valerie Pensa, SVP Global Brand Partnership Claudia Butzky and VP Rhythm Promo Lori Giamela.

Following the unveiling, P!nk stopped by Ellen for a chat that included news of the single and forthcoming album, Hurts to Be Human. The set follows seventh studio album Beautiful Trauma, which bowed at #1 in October of 2017 with 407k (384k in sales alone) and signified the biggest debut of the year by a female artist. It's also gave her the third-biggest debut since consumption was added to the charts; Adele (3.4m) and Beyoncé (653k) were the top two at the time. And it became the year’s fourth-biggest debut overall behind Kendrick Lamar, Drake and Ed Sheeran.

According to the interview, the music video being shot next week will be directed by Michael Gracey (The Greatest Showman). Does this mean P!nk's signature acrobatics are in order? We sure hope so, and will mentally prepare by somersaulting our way to and from our office's handy dandy beer fridge.
