CUNY MATRICULATES AS CMG'S SVP VIDEO

Emmanuelle Cuny has been named Senior Vice President of Video Production for Capitol Music Group by Motown Records President Ethiopia Habtemariam.

In her new role, Cuny will overse the production of music videos and other visual content for CMG artists, and will be based in Hollywood in the Capitol Tower. She has requested that we not make a "corner office" joke.

Cuny, a New York native, comes to CMG from Atlantic Records, where she oversaw a diverse array of heavily viewed videos, such as Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again” and all of Cardi B’s 2018 visuals.

CMG Chairman & CEO Steve Barnett said, “Emmanuelle is a true champion of artists who has earned her reputation as a trusted creative adviser and collaborator.  She has tremendous energy and spirit to complement her wealth of experience, and I couldn’t be happier that Emmanuelle has made the move to the west coast to join us here in the Tower.”

According to Habtemariam, “Emmanuelle is an incredible talent and her level of creativity and taste is unparalleled. She not only has an amazing spirit, but she is also an advocate for artists and has proved to be a trusted source to amplify and grow their vision. I am extremely excited and thankful to now have her lend her creativity and expertise on our team.”

Cuny added, "We are in a very special time where creating outstanding and innovative visual content is so vital in developing our young superstars and helping our established artists to remain at the forefront of our culture."
