Legendary artist/songwriter, pop-culture icon and MusiCares Person of the Year Dolly Parton warms up for Grammy night with a visit to L.A.'s Grammy Museum to kick off the costume exhibit Diamond in a Rhinestone World. Dolly performed a couple of songs, answered questions and radiated pure, unadulterated awesome before jumping into this photo op with manager Danny Nozell, Recording Academy chief Neil Portnow and Museum Executive Director Michael Sticka. Shortly after the above pic was snapped, Neil suggested they re-enact some scenes from the 9 to 5 movie, as long as he got to be Lily Tomlin.
In the pic below, Dolly appears with Producer of the Year nominee Linda Perry, with whom she collaborated on the recent Dumplin' soundtrack. Look for songs from that set and classics from Dolly's career on Grammy night; such acolytes as Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris and Little Big Town will pay musical tribute. Later, Perry unloaded the PA system from her hat.
