JUST ONE LOOK: TV SHAKES UP CHARTS

Television shows that aired on Sunday shook up the sales charts at iTunes and Amazon, bringing a hitmaker from the past back to the Top 10.

Yes, Super Bowl halftime show stars Maroon 5 have a Top 10 album at iTunes and on Amazon’s CD chart, but it has been a 24-hour sales bonanza for Linda Ronstadt following a CBS Sunday Morning piece. Rhino’s new Live in Hollywood album featuring performances from 1980 is #2 at Tunes followed by her 2015 Greatest Hits, also on Rhino, at #5.

Amazon’s chart finds the live album CD at #1 and Greatest Hits at #3; the LP of Live in Hollywood is #12. On Amazon’s digital chart, Live in Hollywood is #2.

Maroon 5’s Songs About Jane (Interscope) sits at #10 at iTunes where the Super Bowl impact is more prominent on the songs side. “Girls Like You” f/Cardi B is #5 with “She Will Be Loved” one slot lower. “Sugar,” “This Love” and “Moves Like Jagger” f/Christina Aguilera line up from #14 to #16.

Following his blink-and-you-missed-it performance, Travis Scott’s Astroworld (Epic) rose into the Top 25 from below #80 in the hours before the Super Bowl. The song Big Boi performed, The Way You Move,” has cruised into the Top 20.
