INTERSCOPE STAYS UNBEATEN IN TV SPORTS

The NBA’s announcement that J. Cole will headline the entertainment portion of the All Star Game telecast provides further evidence of Interscope’s continuing domination of top-tier televised sports programming.

The year started with a performance by Imagine Dragons during halftime of the CFP Championship Game on ESPN, while Maroon 5 will headline Super Bowl LIII on CBS this Sunday and TNT will air the NBA All-Star Game on 2/17. No matter the network, Interscope appears to have a lock on the biggest sports telecasts.

Signal-caller Steve Berman modestly brushes off comparisons of his post-season record with that of Tom Brady, while head coach John Janick points out that he’s seven years older than Rams wunderkind Sean McVay.
