Producer/songwriter busbee (Maren Morris, P!nk, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, 5 Seconds of Summer) celebrated the launch of new company Altadena with a downtown throwdown in L.A. over the weekend. The event was co-sponsored by partners Warner Bros. Records, Warner/Chappell and Red Light Management. A bevy of biz luminaries were in attendance.
The venue was COMMUNITYmade, which makes handcrafted shoes locally and supports numerous community charities with a portion of its proceeds. In addition to copious food and drink, the event offered performances by Street Poets featuring Rhythm Arts Alliance, one of the groups benefiting from the org’s good works.
No word yet on the widespread availability of “the busbee,” a platform solar-powered cowboy boot equipped with an array of programmable beats.
The man of the moment joins WBR Co-Chairman/CEO Aaron Bay-Schuck to discuss the array of avocado-toast options in the neighborhood.
busbee and WBR Co-Chairman/COO Tom Corson compose an impromptu ode to bourbon.
The following people all wondered when they’d have their own line of personalized footwear: Altadena Creative Directors Noreen Prunier and Kelly Benini, Warner/Chappell COO Carianne Marshall, W/C VP A&R Katy Wolaver, busbee and Altadena GM/VP Daniel Lee.
Team Altadena pauses to pose with Evolve/Red Light prexy Becky Scott, who notes that she’ll be entitled to 15% of all pumps.
Seen cobbling together a response are (l-r) busbee, Scott, Kelly Benini and Noreen Prunier.
