U.K. CHARTS: SAM & NORMANI STEP INTO TOP 5

Sam Smith and Normani have ended the week at #4 on the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart with “Dancing With a Stranger” (Capitol), while The 1975, Anne-Marie and Billie Eilish make gains on albums.

Ava Max continues to hold the #1 singles spot with “Sweet But Psycho” (Atlantic) on 8m streams and 12k downloads this week. The track is 30k combined sales ahead of Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus’s  “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” (Columbia) at #2.

Post Malone sits at #3 with “Wow.” (Island), followed by “Dancing With a Stranger.” It’s Sam’s ninth Top 5 single and Normani’s first as a soloist.

Calvin Harris and Rag’n’Bone Man have the second highest new track, “Giant” (Columbia), followed by Jax Jones with Years & Years’ “Play” (Polydor) lifting three spots to #8.

On the Official Albums Chart, The Greatest Showman (Atlantic) has now spent 27 weeks at #1. George Ezra’s Staying At Tamara’s (Columbia) is #2 for another week, and fellow BRIT nominees The 1975 climb six places to #18 with A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships (Dirty Hit/Polydor). Anne-Marie’s Speak Your Mind (Atlantic) re-enters the Top 40 at #27.

Eilish reaches a new peak with Don’t Smile At Me (Polydor) rising seven places to #13; Hoodie SZN (Atlantic) from A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie climbs six rungs to #23, and  6IX9INE’s Dummy Boy (Virgin EMI) rebounds seven to match its previous high of #30.
