The headline says it all: “John G. Branca Named Marquis Who's Who World's #1 Music Attorney.” This is a big deal, because Marquis Who’s Who isn’t a generic, lower-case who’s who, it’s the who’s who of record, having singled out “the leaders of American society; those men and women who are influencing their nation's development” since 1899.
But we’re talking globally here; presumably, this honor gets JB not only in Who’s Who in America but also the latest edition of Who’s Who in the World. Cool.
Branca’s Marquis bio, which you can read here, hits many of the same accomplishments and career high points as our profile in History of the Music Biz Three: Rainmakers—though we neglected to provide our readers with the esteemed legal eagle’s middle initial. It’s short for Gregory, by the way.
