Sony is committed to staying in the movie, TV and music business, CEO Kenichiro Yoshida plans to tell the CES crowd today in Las Vegas, the New York Times reports.

Beyond not selling off any of the units, Yoshida is making them a priority and sees the company’s PlayStation Network as a way to connect consumers with Sony movies, TV shows and music.

The Times quoted Goldman Sachs analyst Masaru Sugiyama as saying that in the nine months Yoshida has been on the job, “entertainment is more integrated with the rest of Sony within Yoshida-san’s mind.”

At CES, Sony will unveil new audio and visual products and robotics and talk up the turnaround at the movie division. After the speech, Rob Stringer will be able to order an extra bottle of sake.
