A SCHUR THING

Jordan Schur’s Mimran Schur Pictures will co-finance two films on Sony Pictures’ upcoming slate. They are the Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly-starrer Holmes & Watson—due this Christmas—and a February 2020 release, Bloodshot, which is based on the Valiant comic books and puts Vin Diesel in a superhero role.

“We are excited to partner on these impactful projects with Sony Pictures, and look forward to doing more films with the studio,” said Mimran Schur CEO/Co-Chairman Schur and Co-Chairman David Mimran. “We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside one another as we pursue our company mandate of promising film endeavors that are a cut above.”

Meanwhile, Schur, partner Carl Stubner and their company, Suretone Records, are just about done with a new distribution deal with ADA. That means it’s full steam ahead on the second LP cycle for buzzing rock band DED, as well as rising Urban star Sayyi, whose latest single “Regardless” was just released.

By the way, if you’re on the hunt for new holiday treats, you must ask Schur for his limp biscuit recipe.
