U.K. CHARTS: TAKE THAT SCORE 2018'S FASTEST SELLER

Take That have scored the highest opening week for an artist album in the U.K. so far this year with Odyssey (Polydor) shifting 106k combined sales to reach #1. Over on singles, “thank u, next” (Island) by Ariana Grande spends a fourth week at the top.

While Odyssey is the fastest-selling artist album in 2018, NOW 100 claims the fastest seller overall with 176k first week sales. A massive 94% of Take That’s sales were physical, and Odyssey is their eighth Official Albums #1.

Further down, Cliff Richard is this week’s second highest new entry with Rise Up (Rhino) at #4. Michael Bublé moves down to #2 with Love (Reprise), The Greatest Showman soundtrack (Atlantic) is at #3 and Little Mix complete the top 5 with LM5 (Syco).

Roy Orbison’s second posthumous album with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Unchained Melodies (Legacy), enters at #8, Alfie Boe collects his fifth Top 10 album as a soloist with As Time Goes By (Decca) at #10, and Rita Ora's second album and first on Atlantic, Phoenix, lands at #11.

On the Official Singles Chart, Ariana Grande keeps Little Mix and Nicki Minaj at #2 with “Woman Like Me,” followed by Jess Glynne just 300 sales behind with “Thursday” (Atlantic) at #3.

Halsey secures her first Top 5 single as a lead artist with “Without Me” (Virgin EMI) at #4, just ahead of Ava Max, who leaps seven places to #6 with “Sweet But Psycho” (Atlantic).

London rapper Digdat scores this week’s highest new entry #20 with a remix of his self-released track “Airforce” f/Krept & Konan and K-Trap.

Kodak Black’s “Zeze" f/Travis Scott and Offset (Atlantic) rebounds two places to #8, Zara Larsson’s “Ruin My Life” (Black Butter) climbs four places to #11 and “1999” (Atlantic) climbs four spots to put Charli XCX & Troye Sivan at #13. Finally, Khalid’s “Better” (Columbia) lifts three to a new peak at #15.

Now pass the scones, lovey.
