Dreamville/Interscope prodigy J.I.D returns with his sophomore album, Dicaprio 2, and it's already garnering applause from hip-hop critics while soaring on iTunes (it was previously #1 and is now #2 behind Pentatonix) and Top 5 at Apple Music.
Hailing from the same East Atlanta collective (Spillage Village) as 6LACK, the rapper born Destin Route released his Dreamville debut, The Never Story in 2017. With a J. Cole co-sign and a critically acclaimed debut under his belt, he jumped into the conversation of hip-hop's next big thing, and deservedly so. He's most likely your favorite rapper's favorite rapper, armed with fierce wordplay and no sign of mumble. Dicaprio 2 features J. Cole, 6LACK, Ella Mai and production from Mac Miller (who "helped post produce and organize on almost every song on here" according to J.I.D) among others.
Check out why J.I.D made the 2018 XXL Freshman class and is climbing the charts at the moment.
