ANOTHER "CROWN": EILISH INKS UMPG PUB PACT

Teen phenom Billie Eilish, whose Darkroom/Interscope set has earned significant acclaim (and who's discussed at length by label boss John Janick in our recent interview), has inked a global co-pub deal with Jody Gerson's UMPG.

"A talented songwriter who is beyond her years, there is no doubt that Billie is already a powerful voice for her generation. Her expressive songs are an outpouring of honest and raw emotion, and her truth in music resonates with fans around the world,” said Gerson. "With the guidance of UMPG A&R Luke McGrellis and support of the UMPG global team, I am confident that we will be an outstanding creative partner for Billie as she continues to rise."

She added shout-outs for Justin Lubliner from Darkroom, as well as Janick "and the fantastic Interscope team."

"I am really excited to work with Jody, Luke, and the team at Universal, the 16-year-old breakout said. "I am so grateful for all of their amazing support and opportunities."

Eilish's EP don't smile at me has earned north of 2.5 billion streams. Her "when the party's over" is Top 10 U.S. at Spotify and just outside the global leaderboard, while the video is nearing 30m YouTube views. Her duet with Khalid, "lovely," now platinum, racked up 253m Spotify streams and 130m video views. Meanwhile, "you should see me in a crown" has earned 68m streams on Spotify.

She has 18.5m monthly listeners on Spotify, ranking her 85th most listened-to artist in the world on the streaming platform.
