With Amazon Music’s just-introduced feature New Release Notifications, all subscribers need to do is ask, “Alexa, follow Greta Van Fleet on Amazon Music,” or “Alexa, let me know when Anderson .Paak has new music,” and they’ll be able to follow their chosen artist.
Once a new song or album from that artist drops, users will get a notification through a yellow light ring on their Echo devices, and via the Amazon Music mobile app, enabling them to listen on demand. In some cases, they’ll hear the artist delivering the message themselves.
On top of that, they can follow an artist they’re listening to on a playlist or by saying, “Alexa, follow [this artist] on Amazon Music,” or “Alexa, let me know when [this artist] has a new album.” They can also use the feature in the visual interface of the Amazon Music app or Web Player by clicking the “Follow” button.
